No. The entire VESTA assessment is done at home from your phone — there’s no need to travel to a clinic or sit for a physical casting. You record your gait and scan your feet following simple guided instructions, and our clinical team handles the analysis and design remotely. Your finished insoles are then delivered directly to you.

The VESTA App uses Apple’s TrueDepth camera, which is built into every iPhone with Face ID — that means iPhone X and all later models (including the XR, XS, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 ranges, iPhone SE TrueDepth variants, iPhone 16e and iPhone Air). If your iPhone unlocks with Face ID, it is compatible with the scan.

The scan currently relies on the TrueDepth depth-sensing camera found on Face ID iPhones, so a compatible iPhone is needed to complete it at home. The iPhone TrueDepth camera captures detailed 3D information about your foot shape, and we combine it with your gait recording so the design reflects both your static anatomy and how you actually move — something a static clinic mould alone doesn’t show. The whole workflow is digitally driven, which reduces the manual handling and transcription errors that can occur with traditional casting.

Our insoles are designed to fit a wide range of everyday footwear, and we take your footwear type into account during the assessment. Some people feel the difference immediately, while others need a short adaptation period as the body adjusts to the new support — this usually lasts less than a week. VESTA insoles are made with controlled materials and standardised production for durability and consistent everyday use. Actual lifespan depends on your body weight, activity level and how often you wear them. As a general guide, consider replacing them once you notice the support or cushioning has visibly compressed or worn down.

Keep them clean and dry to maintain their performance over time. Remove them from your shoes periodically to air out, and wipe them with a damp cloth and a little mild soap when needed. Let them dry fully at room temperature, and avoid machine washing, soaking or drying them with direct heat such as radiators or hairdryers.

Custom insoles are typically processed and shipped within 2 business days after your order and assessment are complete. Total delivery time then depends on your location and the shipping method. You’ll receive confirmation when your order is on its way.

Every pair is produced in Portugal through a traceable, standardised manufacturing process. Each insole is made to the finalised digital design specifications, which helps ensure consistent quality, durability and reliability from the moment it arrives.

If you’re not fully satisfied, you can return your order within 30 calendar days of delivery for a full refund — no questions asked — and returns are free of charge. Once we receive and process the returned item, refunds are typically issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider.
